UDA project assistance

Assistance to victims of explosive ordnance

From February 24, 2022 to May 2023, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded 24,012 civilian casualties in the country: 8,895 killed and 15,117 injured.

As the UN does not have full access to the areas of active hostilities and territories temporarily occupied by the russian federation there data are not fully represent the situation. Unfortunately the actual number of victims of the aggression is much higher.

For that reason the Ukrainian Demining Association continues to provide financial assistance to citizens affected by mines and explosive ordnance. To date, 100 people have already received funds in the amount of about UAH 16,000 per person. Aid is provided to victims from Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia and Kherson regions as part of the implementation of the project in partnership with the international humanitarian organization International Rescue Committee.
