Last week, the International Donor’s Conference on Humanitarian Demining in Ukraine was held in the capital of Croatia.
Why it is important for Ukraine:
Firstly, in Zagreb, First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliya Svyrydenko and Prime Minister of Croatia Andriy Plenkovich signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of mine action. Croatia has positive experience in solving problems in mine action and, above all, in mechanical demining. It means that Croatia is ready to share its experience in mine action with Ukraine;
Secondly, it is a platform for cooperation, interaction and development of relations between the main stakeholders of Ukraine in the Mina Action field and donors;
Thirdly, many countries have confirmed their continued support for Ukraine. And also some separate plans of partner countries and international organizations for 2024 were announced.
NGO Ukrainian Deminers Association was an active participant of the International Conference. The head of the organization Tymur Pistriuha emphasized the importance of localization in the Mine Action field for Ukrainians.
As part of the International Donor’s Conference in Zagreb, there was also an opportunity to get acquainted with DOK-ING products.
The demining capabilities of the MV-4, MV-10 and MV-4 Scorpion were demonstrated to the participants of the event. In addition, in the conference hall, the participants of the International Conference had the opportunity to discuss mechanical demining in Ukraine and the Croatian experience of such demining. The head of the NGO Ukrainian Deminers Association Tymur Pistriuha emphasized the need to intensify mechanical demining measures in Ukraine’s humanitarian mine action.
We appreciate that several robotic EOD complexes have already been assembled on the Dok-Ing assets, which will help demining our land in the nearest future.
We are grateful to our partners for their cooperation and assistance in cleaning up Ukrainian lands.
