€4 Million for Humanitarian Demining in Ukraine from the Government of the Netherlands
The Netherlands has signed an agreement to provide €4 million to UDA for humanitarian demining operations in Ukraine.
These funds are specifically allocated for clearing Ukrainian territories of mines and explosive remnants of war, allowing communities to safely return home and enabling land to be used again for living and work.
For us, this is an important sign of trust: for the first time, the Netherlands is directly funding a Ukrainian mine action operator. This approach strengthens the capacity of national teams to work systematically and at scale on Ukrainian soil.
The Netherlands remains one of the largest donors supporting humanitarian mine action in Ukraine, having allocated a total of €66.9 million since 2022.
We are grateful to our partners for their support and joint efforts toward a safer Ukraine 🖤💛
