UDA is happy to share results and achievements of our educational project “Education for Life Protection Teaching courses for K-12”.
Implementation dates: June 2022 – January 2023
During 8 months our team was working on 4 main assignments:
1) Updating online EORE course in accordance with the new realities of Ukraine concerning UXO and mines.
In order to do that UDA experts conducted a few online meetings to set updates to the educational programs for schools in accordance with situation in Ukraine. Meetings have been held according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
After updating the course – 7 offline EORE sessions took place in in educational institutions of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Pryluky, Khmelnytskyi cities, Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions, targeting first of all K-12 children.
2) Placing updated EORE course to the Ukrainian platform Prometheus.
As of July 28th EORE course became public on the platform. Total number of registered on the course reached 60,000 people, 50% of which finished it successfully and got certificates.
3) Creating a new “Life Protection teaching course for K-12”, including practical video materials.
Course was created in August 2022 under the authorship of UDA safety instructor Ihor Resnichenko. The manual was approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and it also received the Institute of education content modernization approval – “Approved for use in the educational process.”
The online course “Life Safety Training Course” was also developed based on the manual and placed on our new Educational online-platform. Total number of registered participants is 1100 people, 60% of which finished it successfully and got certificates. Ukrainian regions, which showed the most interest in the course are: Sumy, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Poltava.
In addition, UDA trainers conducted several master-classes in Kyiv schools. Main goal of the workshops was to practice algorithm of safe behavior during an unexpected missile and bomb attack, including evacuation to a safe place. During the workshops, 200 printed copies of the manual were provided to schools.
4) Created and developed new modern educational online-platform.
On the 2nd of December 2022 new online platform was open to the public. Its user friendly, easy and comfortable to use for all age groups, anytime and anywhere. Since it was open total amount of users reached – 1,500 people.
All assignments of the educational project were successfully accomplished. However, our main goal is always to save lives by informing as many Ukrainians as possible about algorithm of safe behavior. Total number of direct beneficiaries in this project reached nearly 31,000 people.
The entire UDA team continues to work for the protection of Ukraine and its population.
