Security 2.0 exhibition results

The Ukrainian Deminers Association is co-organizing the most important security exhibition in Ukraine, Security 2.0, for the second time.
Unlike last year, a feature of this exhibition was a practical demonstration of various processes and techniques of humanitarian demining at the landfill.

The demonstration session became the main decoration of the exhibition. Various international and national mine action operators have demonstrated their ability to perform humanitarian demining tasks. In particular, demining with the help of mine-detecting dogs, mechanical demining with robotic systems such as Bozena 5 and MV-10 Dok-Ing, drones used in the process of non-technical survey of territories, underwater demining, decontamination with pyro cartridges and much more were shown.

UDA sappers showed the manual demining process. Sappers are the main driving force helping to free Ukrainian lands from explosive remnants of war. It is painstaking and physically demanding work that requires care, concentration and consistent performance of standard operating procedures.

In addition, UDA moderated a seminar dedicated to the financing of humanitarian demining . State compensation to farmers is currently 100%, tenders for humanitarian demining are underway at the Prozorro site, where mine action operators can participate, and many other issues that are important for Ukraine at the moment.

This year, the exhibition became a platform for networking and new acquaintances, which will provide new opportunities for the liberation of Ukrainian lands from mines and other explosive objects.

At the official opening of the demonstration session Tymur Pistriuha, the head of the Ukrainian Deminers Association, noted that this is a historic moment for the mine action community, because for the first time such an amount of equipment has been collected and almost all processes of humanitarian demining have been demonstrated. And these are not startups, but all this is already helping to clear our land of explosive remnants of war.
