Step by step, we are returning land to safe use

Non-technical survey (NTS) helps determine where a potential threat from explosive ordnance exists and where the land can be safely returned to use. It is at this stage that information is collected and analyzed, becoming the foundation for subsequent decisions in the field of humanitarian mine action.

Within the framework of the project implemented by the Ukrainian Deminers Association together with the international humanitarian organization MAG (Mines Advisory Group) with the financial support of the European Union, from June 15 to July 15, 2026, the NTS teams:

✔️ prepared 50 reports based on the results of the non-technical survey;

✔️ identified 5 suspected contaminated areas;

✔️ surveyed 29,584 hectares of land;

✔️ continued operations in Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions.

Each non-technical survey is another step toward the safe return of land to the people. And for a portion of the territories, this path is already yielding results: after safety verification, the lands are returned to use, and the fields return to agricultural operations.

Let’s make Ukraine safe together. 🖤💛
