Кавер: підсумки діяльності АСУ в 2025

Results of the UDA activities in 2025

2025 was even more active, intense, and productive than the previous year. The NGO “Ukrainian Deminers Association” has grown significantly and strengthened its capabilities.

During the year, we implemented 23 comprehensive humanitarian projects with the support of various donors and partners. Thirteen of them will continue in 2026, and some will continue until 2027 and 2028. Our team has expanded, and our specialists, from deminers to project managers, have significantly improved their expertise and professional level. Throughout the year, the UDA team successfully passed international assessments, monitoring, and audits, receiving high marks in accordance with international standards.

Our strategic partnership with MAG (Mines Advisory Group) has reached a new, higher level. We have also begun cooperation with a number of leading international organizations. These partnerships have yielded tangible results in the development of UDA as a humanitarian actor and mine action operator.

Development as a MA operator
UDA participation in events

In 2025, UDA received a certificate for disposal, successfully passed recertification for all existing processes in MA, and has valid certificates until September 28, 2030.

Traditionally, we represented Ukraine at the national and international levels. In particular, UDA once again co-organized Security 2.0, and our reports were presented at workshops and conferences in Ukraine and abroad, including Switzerland, Croatia, Belgium, Italy, Thailand, Sweden, Poland, Romania, Japan, and the United Kingdom. This is especially valuable because, together with Demining Solutions, both operators are the first and proudly made in Ukraine.

Among all mine action operators, UDA ranked third in terms of the number of beneficiaries covered. During the year, we trained about 160,000 people in mine safety rules, continued to implement inclusive approaches, create innovative information materials, and provide mine victim assistance. For the first time, we conducted a training quest called “Unconquered: Mission – A Safe Country.”

Despite the failure to launch the USAID project, which was scheduled to start in January 2025, UDA began providing comprehensive assistance to victims of explosive ordnance in the reporting year. During the year, the humanitarian department processed 1,492 applications. Financial assistance was provided to 383 beneficiaries, legal assistance to 23, psychological support to 53, and 71 referrals were made. Our implementing partner ADRA conducted MHPSS sessions for about 800 beneficiaries.

In 2025, the UDA significantly expanded its activities in the field of humanitarian demining. Based on the results of a non-technical survey, 438 reports were prepared, covering approximately 280 million square meters of territory, and 119 contaminated and potentially contaminated sites were identified. Through repeated non-technical surveys and clearance, 18 sites in the Kherson, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions, with a total area of 1.4 million square meters, were released and transferred to communities. Work on the site in the Dnipropetrovsk region is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2026.

The productive year 2025 allowed UDA not only to maintain its momentum and team and increase its operational capabilities, but also to look confidently toward 2026 and beyond. This has always been part of our strategy and is exactly what our donors and partners expect. Most importantly, we continue to have the opportunity to help Ukrainians and invest in our shared future through our activities.
