This autumn was not only eventful for the Ukrainian Deminers Association, but also served as a test of one of the organization’s core values: cooperation with partners. The UDA continued its strategic approach to developing systematic cooperation and did so, without exaggeration, confidently and on a large scale.
New partnerships: when quantity turns into quality
This fall, the UDA signed more than ten memoranda of understanding and cooperation and each of them is not just “another document”, but a real tool for strengthening security in the state and the professional environment.

Among our new partners:
- Mine Action Center (Chernihiv) — improving interaction and coordination in the field.
- Humanitarian Coordination Center (Kharkiv) — strengthening cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining in the Kharkiv region.
- Katria Jewelry Brand (Kyiv) — fundraising initiative for mine victim assistance.
- Safe Pro AI (UDA) — conducting non-technical surveys using UAVs and artificial intelligence.
- Kantar Ukraine — bringing business sector innovations to humanitarian demining.
- AKTIV ALLIANCE — developing cooperation in the production and improvement of demining equipment, in particular Trembita metal detectors.
- Sheriff Demining — training of deminers and implementation of joint programs.
- NGO Divchata — involvement and development of women in mine action, in cooperation with UN Women.
- Odessa Lyceum №56 — educational initiatives and training events on mine hazards.

In mid-September, a working meeting was held at the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with the participation of the Head of the Service Andriy Danyk, the Chairman of the Board of UDA Tymur Pistriuha, representatives of UN Women and the Office for Mine Action at the Ministry of Economy. This is another step in the formation of a modern Mine Action (MA) system, where state structures and mine action operators talk not about parallel but about joint actions.

International cooperation of the UDA
In October, Luxembourg hosted the GICHD Innovation Conference 2025, organized with the participation of the Government of Luxembourg and the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining, while Tokyo hosted the UMAC 2025 conference, one of the key international platforms dedicated to Ukraine.
The UDA leadership held a series of meetings with foreign partners and signed new memoranda that are important for the development of technologies, standards, and operational efficiency. This shows that Ukrainian experts remain active participants in the global community and set the tone for innovation in the MA field.
The results of these agreements will be made public after they are finalized.
Most of these partnerships are already beginning to yield tangible results, and not just on paper. It is gratifying to note that most of the new organizations are Ukrainian. This indicates that a stable network of like-minded people is forming within the country, capable of responding to the situation faster than the outside world can assess the scale of the problem.

The UDA continues to expand its partnerships both in Ukraine and abroad. We are consistently bringing together government institutions, businesses, international organizations, and public initiatives around a single goal: to make Ukraine safer, more resilient, and technologically prepared for new challenges. Working together transforms individual efforts into systemic change, and the Association will continue to pursue this course in the future.
